Ben Watson (Beta RX450) ha ottenuto il quindicesimo tempo nelle prove cronometrate. In qualifica, si è trovato a ridosso della ventesima posizione subito dopo il via, ma è riuscito a rimontare diverse posizioni chiudendo quindicesimo. Nella prima manche, in un contatto con un avversario, ha rimediato un colpo alla schiena e al piede e ha chiuso ventunesimo. Il dolore si è fatto sentire anche in gara due, ma il pilota ha stretto i denti terminando tredicesimo in rimonta. Con gli otto punti guadagnati, Watson ha chiuso diciottesimo nell’assoluta di giornata.
Tom Koch (Beta RX450) è arrivato al GP di casa con la volontà di ottenere un buon risultato. Dopo aver segnato il diciassettesimo tempo nelle prove cronometrate, il pilota tedesco ha messo a segno una buona qualifica, terminata al diciottesimo posto. Tom si è fatto spazio tra gli avversari nella prima manche dove ha colto un positivo quattordicesimo posto. Nella partenza di gara due, disputata in condizioni difficili per la pioggia, Koch si è ritrovato molto attardato, ma ha spinto al massimo riuscendo a concludere in zona punti, ventesimo. Piazzamenti che gli hanno permesso di chiudere diciannovesimo assoluto, a pari punti con il compagno di squadra.
Ben Watson: “In Germania ho vissuto un weekend deludente. Nella prima manche stavo rimontando, quando un avversario mi è letteralmente atterrato addosso, non sono caduto ma ho subìto un gran colpo alla schiena e al piede. Il dolore era forte e ci ho messo un paio di giri a riprendere il passo. Nonostante i dolori, non ho mollato nella seconda manche e ho concluso in tredicesima posizione. Questa settimana cercherò di recuperare fisicamente, la pista di Kegums mi piace molto e l’obiettivo è ottenere buoni risultati.”
Tom Koch: “Questo weekend si è corso il GP di casa. Non vedevo l’ora che arrivasse, amo l’atmosfera che i tifosi sono in grado di creare. Il sabato è iniziato al meglio e nelle cronometrate ho segnato il diciassettesimo tempo. In qualifica sono partito bene, ma ho commesso qualche errore di troppo; non mi sono perso d’animo e ho spinto fino alla fine. Per domenica le previsioni mettevano un po’ di pioggia ma la prima manche è passata indenne e sono arrivato al traguardo al quattordicesimo posto, un risultato positivo. Nella seconda ha cominciato a piovere e i solchi in pista erano sempre più profondi, durante la gara ho rimontato fino alla ventesima posizione. Nel complesso il fine settimana è stato positivo e abbiamo fatto un passo nella giusta direzione. Non vedo l’ora di schierarmi al via della prossima gara.”
Il prossimo fine settimana MRT Racing Team Beta Factory sarà impegnato a Kegums nel Gran Premio della Lettonia, undicesimo appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2025, gara che chiuderà un ciclo di tre gare consecutive in tre settimane.

Over the weekend, the ‘Talkessel Circuit’ in Teutschenthal hosted the German Grand Prix, the tenth round of the twenty scheduled in the 2025 edition of the FIM Motocross World Championship.
Ben Watson (Beta RX450) set the fifteenth fastest time in time trials. In qualifying, he found himself close to twentieth position immediately after the start but was able to make up several positions to finish fifteenth. In the first heat, in a contact with an opponent, he suffered a back and foot injury and finished twenty-first. The pain was also felt in race two, but the rider gritted his teeth and finished thirteenth in a comeback. With the eight points gained, Watson finished eighteenth overall for the day.
Tom Koch (Beta RX450) came to his home GP with the determination to achieve a good result. After setting the seventeenth fastest time in timed practice, the German rider set a good qualifying time and finished in eighteenth place. Tom made his way through the competitors in the first heat where he took a positive fourteenth place. At the start of race two, which was run in difficult conditions due to the rain, Koch found himself far behind, but he pushed hard and managed to finish in the points zone, twentieth. These places allowed him to finish nineteenth overall, on equal points with his team-mate.
Ben Watson: ‘I had a disappointing weekend in Germany. In the first heat I was catching up when an opponent literally crashed into me, I didn’t fall but suffered a big impact on my back and my foot. The pain was severe, and it took me a couple of laps to regain my pace. Despite the pain, I didn’t give up in the second heat and finished in thirteenth position. This week I will try to recover physically, I really like the Kegums track, and the aim is to get good results.’
Tom Koch:‘This weekend was the home GP. I was looking forward to it, I love the atmosphere the fans can create. Saturday started off well and in the time trials I set the seventeenth fastest time. I got a good start in qualifying but made a few too many mistakes; I didn’t lose my nerve and pushed until the end. For Sunday the forecast was for some rain, but the first heat passed unscathed, and I arrived at the finish line in fourteenth place, which was a positive result. In the second heat it started to rain, and the track became deeper and deeper, during the race I climbed back up to twentieth position. Overall, the weekend was positive, and we took a step in the right direction. I’m looking forward to the next race.’
Next weekend MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will be competing at Kegums in the Grand Prix of Latvia, the eleventh round of the FIM Motocross World Championship 2025, a race that will conclude a cycle of three consecutive races in three week.
