Dopo aver rimontato fino alla dodicesima, nel finale ha subito la rimonta di alcuni avversari per chiudere quattordicesimo. Jago nella prima manche si è ben difeso terminando dodicesimo. Buona prestazione anche in gara due chiusa al quindicesimo posto. Quattordicesimo nell’assoluta di giornata, Geerts ha recuperato un paio di posizioni nella classifica di campionato dove occupa il sedicesimo posto.
Ottima prova per Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2t) nel settimo appuntamento del Campionato Europeo EMX250. Arrivato a Montevarchi non ancora ristabilito dalla botta alla spalla rimediata in Lettonia, il francese ha segnato il dodicesimo tempo nelle cronometrate. Nella prima manche è scattato nel gruppo dei migliori. Durante la corsa ha subito un lieve calo fisico ma è riuscito a chiudere in settima posizione. Nella seconda manche, disputata domenica mattina, Alexis è scattato ancora tra i primi ed è rimasto a lungo al terzo posto. Nel finale ha perso una posizione chiudendo quarto. Piazzamento che sommato al risultato di gara uno gli ha permesso di finire terzo nell’assoluta di giornata regalando a Beta il primo podio nella categoria. Fueri è dodicesimo nella classifica di campionato.
Buon weekend anche per Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2t), impegnato come Fueri nell’Europeo EMX250. Ventiseiesimo al termine delle cronometrate, il toscano non ha avuto fortuna in gara uno. Scattato fuori dalla top venti ha provato a recuperare ma la sua rimonta si è fermata a un passo dalla zona punti, in ventunesima posizione. Brando si è rifatto nella seconda dove è scattato quinto al via. Presa subito la seconda posizione, è salito al comando nel corso del terzo giro e ha guidato la gara per alcune tornate prima di tornare secondo. Nei giri finali ha subito l’attacco di un avversario ma ha tagliato il traguardo con una strepitosa terza posizione. Undicesimo nell’assoluta di giornata, Rispoli in campionato è ventesimo.
Il prossimo fine settimana MRT Racing Team Beta Factory sarà impegnato nel Gran Premio del Portogallo, decimo appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2026, che sarà ospitato dal circuito di Agueda.
Jago Geerts: “Posso dire di aver avuto un buon fine settimana a Montevarchi. Dalle prove il feeling con il tracciato era ottimo e sono rimasto a ridosso della top ten per tutto il weekend. Siamo migliorati ancora e sono convinto che stiamo andando nella giusta direzione.”
Alexis Fueri: “Dopo la difficoltà che ho avuto a riprendermi dalla botta alla spalla rimediata a Kegums, salire sul podio mi ha regalato un’emozione immensa. Non speravo di recuperare così velocemente. Non ho guidato al meglio ma sono riuscito a capitalizzare al massimo le mie prestazioni. Sono davvero felice per Beta e per il team. Non posso fare altro che ringraziare tutti.”
Brando Rispoli: “Il weekend era partito davvero male. Sabato ero in difficoltà. Domenica nella seconda manche sono partito quinto e sono salito velocemente in seconda posizione. A metà gara ho preso il comando ma nel finale ho calato il ritmo terminando comunque terzo. Un ottimo piazzamento dopo un inizio di weekend difficile.

MRT RACING TEAM BETA – MXGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
Italian Grand Prix – Montevarchi
The Miravalle Circuit in Montevarchi hosted the Italian Grand Prix, the ninth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship, a race that marked the return of a world championship event to the historic Tuscan track after twenty years.
In the MXGP class, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) posted the fifteenth-fastest time in both free practice and timed practice. In qualifying, the Belgian started just behind the fifteenth position. After fighting his way back up to twelfth, he was overtaken by his rivals in the final stages and finished fourteenth. Jago held his ground well in the first race, finishing twelfth. He also put in a solid performance in Race 2, finishing in fifteenth place. Finishing fourteenth overall for the day, Geerts moved up a couple of positions in the championship standings, where he now sits in sixteenth place.
Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2t) had an excellent race in the seventh round of the EMX250 European Championship. Arriving in Montevarchi still not fully recovered from the shoulder injury he sustained in Latvia, the French rider posted the twelfth-fastest time in qualifying. In the first heat, he got off to a strong start among the leaders. During the race, he experienced a slight drop in stamina but managed to finish in seventh position. In the second heat, held on Sunday morning, Alexis again got off to a strong start among the leaders and held third position for a long time. In the final stretch, he dropped one position, finishing fourth. This result, combined with his finish in Race 1, allowed him to finish third overall for the day, securing Beta’s first podium in the category. Fueri is twelfth in the championship standings.
Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2t), competing alongside Fueri in the EMX250 European Championship, also had a solid performance. Twenty-sixth after the qualifying sessions, the Tuscan rider had no luck in Race 1. Starting outside the top twenty, he tried to make up ground, but his comeback fell just short of the points zone, finishing in twenty-first position. Brando bounced back in the second race, where he started fifth. He immediately moved into second position, took control during the third lap, and led the race for a few laps before dropping back to second. In the final laps, he came under attack from an opponent but crossed the finish line with an impressive third-place finish. Eleventh overall for the day, Rispoli is twentieth in the championship standings.
Next weekend, the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will compete in the Portuguese Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship, which will be held at the Agueda circuit.
Jago Geerts: “I can say I had a good weekend at Montevarchi. From practice onward, I had a great feel for the track, and I stayed close to the top ten all weekend. We’ve improved even further, and I’m convinced we’re heading in the right direction.”
Alexis Fueri: “After the difficulty I had recovering from the shoulder injury I sustained at Kegums, getting on the podium was incredibly emotional. I didn’t expect to recover so quickly. I didn’t ride at my best, but I managed to make the most of my performance. I’m really happy for Beta and for the team. I just want to thank everyone”.
Brando Rispoli: “The weekend started off really badly. I was struggling on Saturday. On Sunday, in the second race, I started fifth and quickly moved up to second position. Halfway through the race, I took control, but I slowed down toward the end and still finished third. A great result after a difficult start to the weekend.”
