Il circuito “Riola Sand” <\/strong>ha ospitato il Gran Premio della Sardegna<\/strong>, quarto round del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2026.<\/strong> Il tracciato\u00a0oristanese, con la sua sabbia profonda, \u00e8 universalmente riconosciuto\u00a0come uno dei pi\u00f9 difficili e impegnativi dell’intera stagione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nella classe MXGP Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) <\/strong>ha segnato il diciottesimo\u00a0tempo nelle prove cronometrate. In qualifica non \u00e8 stato fortunato in\u00a0partenza ma ha chiuso la manche in diciannovesima posizione. In gara uno\u00a0il pilota belga \u00e8 scattato a ridosso della quindicesima posizione e ha concluso diciassettesimo. Purtroppo, una caduta non gli ha permesso\u00a0di portare a termine la seconda manche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jago Geerts<\/strong>: “Weekend difficile. Nella prima manche mi sentivo bene nel\u00a0primo quarto d’ora di gara. In seguito, ho faticato a tenere un buon\u00a0ritmo e ho chiuso diciassettesimo. Nella seconda le sensazioni alla\u00a0guida erano buone ma sono rimasto vittima di una rovinosa caduta e ho\u00a0dovuto ritirarmi. Per fortuna non ho avuto conseguenze a livello fisico.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gara difficile anche per Rick Elzinga (Beta RX450)<\/strong> non ancora al 100%\u00a0dal punto di vista fisico dopo l’infortunio che l’ha lasciato fuori\u00a0nelle prime gare. Ventiseiesimo al termine delle cronometrate,\u00a0il pilota olandese in qualifica ha terminato ventisettesimo. La carenza di allenamento e le difficili\u00a0condizioni del tracciato hanno costretto Rick a un doppio ritiro nelle\u00a0manche titolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rick Elzinga<\/strong>: “Un fine settimana in cui mi sono impegnato a ritrovare il mio potenziale. Qui a Riola \u00e8 stata davvero dura. La pista\u00a0\u00e8 gi\u00e0 impegnativa da affrontare quando sei al top fisicamente. Per me\u00a0che sto ancora lavorando per ritrovare la forma \u00e8 stato veramente difficile.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2T)<\/strong>, impegnato nel\u00a0terzo round del Campionato Europeo EMX250, ha chiuso diciannovesimo al termine\u00a0delle prove cronometrate, il pilota francese in gara uno ha subito un calo\u00a0fisico terminando ancora diciannovesimo. Nella seconda manche \u00e8 caduto in\u00a0partenza. Ripartito praticamente ultimo ha concluso la sua rimonta al ventiseiesimo posto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexis Fueri<\/strong>: “GP complicato per me a Riola. Nella prima manche mi\u00a0si sono induriti gli avambracci mentre nella seconda sono caduto in\u00a0partenza. Mentre provavo a rimontare ho preso un avversario e sono\u00a0caduto ancora. Lasciamo alle spalle questa gara e concentriamoci su Arco.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sempre nella EMX250, Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2T)<\/strong> nella seconda manche \u00e8 riuscito a tagliare il traguardo in zona punti, al ventesimo posto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brando Rispoli<\/strong>: “Nelle cronometrate non sono riuscito a trovare un buon giro e nella prima manche mi sono ritirato dopo\u00a0pochi giri. Nella seconda mi sentivo meglio e dopo una partenza nelle\u00a0retrovie ho rimontato fino a raggiungere la zona punti.”<\/em>
Archiviata la gara di Riola Sardo, il prossimo fine settimana il Beta MRT Racing\u00a0Team sar\u00e0 impegnato ancora in Italia. Il circuito “Ciclamino” di Pietramurata ospiter\u00e0 il Gran Premio del Trentino, sesto\u00a0appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cRiola Sand\u201d<\/strong> circuit hosted the Sardinia Grand Prix<\/strong>, the fourth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship. The Oristano track, with its deep sand, is widely recognized as one of the most difficult and demanding of the entire season.
In the MXGP class, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450)<\/strong> posted the 18th-fastest time in timed practice. In qualifying, he had a poor start but finished the heat in 19th position. In race one, the Belgian rider started near 15th position and finished 17th. Unfortunately, a crash prevented him from finishing the second heat.
Jago Geerts<\/strong>: \u201cA difficult weekend. In the first race, I felt good during the first fifteen minutes. After that, I struggled to maintain a good pace and finished seventeenth. In the second race, the riding felt good, but I was the victim of a nasty crash and had to retire. Fortunately, I didn\u2019t suffer any physical consequences.\u201d<\/em>
It was also a difficult race for Rick Elzinga (Beta RX450)<\/strong>, who is still not 100% physically after the injury that sidelined him in the early races. Twenty-sixth at the end of the timed practice sessions, the Dutch rider finished twenty-seventh in qualifying. A lack of training and the difficult track conditions forced Rick to retire twice in the main heats.
Rick Elzinga<\/strong>: \u201cA weekend where I focused on regaining my potential. It was really tough here in Riola. The track is already challenging when you\u2019re in top physical shape. For me, still working to get back in shape, it was truly difficult.\u201d<\/em>
Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2T)<\/strong>, competing in the third round of the EMX250 European Championship<\/strong>, finished 19th at the end of qualifying. In Race 1, the French rider suffered a physical slump and finished 19th again. In Race 2, he crashed at the start. Starting practically last, he completed his comeback to finish in 26th position.
Alexis Fueri<\/strong>: \u201cIt was a tough GP for me at Riola. In the first race, my forearms got stiff, and in the second, I crashed at the start. While trying to make my way back up, I hit an opponent and crashed again. Let\u2019s put this race behind us and focus on Arco.\u201d<\/em>
Also in the EMX250 class, Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2T) managed to finish in the points in the second race, in 20th position.
Brando Rispoli<\/strong>: “In qualifying, I couldn\u2019t put together a good lap, and in the first race I retired after just a few laps. In the second race, I felt better, and after starting from the back of the pack, I fought my way back up to finish in the points.\u201c<\/em>
With the Riola Sardo race behind them, the Beta MRT Racing Team will be back in action in Italy next weekend.
