Il Gran Premio di Australia<\/strong>, ultima prova del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2025<\/strong>, si \u00e8 disputato sul tracciato di Darwin<\/strong>, nel nord del paese. La pista si \u00e8 dimostrata spettacolare ed ha ospitato un folto pubblico nel weekend. Purtroppo, un violento nubifragio nel pomeriggio della domenica ha costretto gli organizzatori a cancellare la seconda manche della categoria MXGP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quindicesimo nelle prove libere, e diciottesimo al termine delle cronometrate, Ben Watson (Beta RX450)<\/strong> ha centrato un buon dodicesimo posto nella qualifica del sabato dopo una partenza a ridosso della top 5. Alla domenica, invece, la sfortuna ha colpito Watson nella manche iridata: nei primi giri in rimonta a causa di una partenza non buona, \u00e8 poi stato costretto a fermarsi al dodicesimo giro. Ben Watson, alla sua terza stagione con MRT Racing Team Beta Factory<\/strong>, ha terminato quattordicesimo nella classifica finale di campionato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Watson<\/strong>:\u00a0\u201cIl GP di Australia non \u00e8 andato come avrei voluto. Sono stato bene per tutto il fine settimana ma alcuni problemi non mi hanno permesso di terminare la stagione al meglio. \u00c8 un peccato che la seconda manche sia stata cancellata per il maltempo togliendomi la possibilit\u00e0 di ottenere un buon piazzamento. \u00c8 stata una stagione altalenante, segnata da alti e bassi. La cosa positiva \u00e8 che sono rimasto lontano dagli infortuni. Insieme al team abbiamo sempre cercato di lottare per ottenere i migliori risultati possibili. A volte non \u00e8 facile, ma sono migliorato rispetto alla scorsa stagione. Cerchiamo di continuare in questo percorso di crescita.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>

Tom Koch (Beta RX450)<\/strong>\u00a0ha chiuso le cronometrate al diciannovesimo posto, alle spalle di Watson. In qualifica \u00e8 riuscito a rimediare ad una partenza sfortunata con una rimonta che gli ha permesso di terminare diciannovesimo. Nella manche della domenica, caratterizzata da una partenza migliore, il pilota tedesco si \u00e8 messo maggiormente in luce chiudendo sedicesimo. Sono 108 i punti iridati raccolti da Koch durante la stagione che gli hanno permesso di finire ventunesimo in campionato.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Koch<\/strong>: \u201cIn Australia abbiamo trovato una pista e un ambiente nuovi per tutti. Sabato mattina, appena entrati, il tracciato era molto morbido soprattutto in alcuni punti ma il layout era divertente e spettacolare. Nelle cronometrate ho faticato a trovare il giro buono e ho chiuso diciannovesimo. La partenza in qualifica \u00e8 stata pessima e nei primi giri ho preso pochi rischi perdendo altre posizioni. Alla fine ho tagliato il traguardo al diciannovesimo posto. Domenica nell’unica manche disputata, la partenza e i primi dieci minuti sono andati meglio. In seguito, ho perso feeling e ritmo ma ho chiuso sedicesimo. Colgo l\u2019occasione per ringraziare tutte le persone che mi hanno aiutato in questa stagione, e l\u2019MRT Racing Team Beta Factory per l\u2019opportunit\u00e0 che mi ha dato.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian Grand Prix<\/strong>, the final round of the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship<\/strong>, took place on the Darwin <\/strong>track in the north of the country. The track proved to be spectacular and it attracted large crowds over the weekend. Unfortunately, a violent storm on Sunday afternoon forced the organiser to cancel the second race of the MXGP Class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

15th in free practice and 18th at the end of timed practice, Ben Watson (Beta RX450)<\/strong> achieved a good 20th position in Saturday’s qualifying after starting close to the top 5. On Sunday however, Watson was struck by bad luck in the race: after making up ground in the early laps following a poor start, he was then forced to retire on lap 12. Ben Watson, in his 3rd season with MRT Racing Team Beta Factory<\/strong>, finished 14th in the final Championship Standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Watson<\/strong>: “The Australian GP didn’t go as I would have liked. I felt good all weekend, but a few problems prevented me from finishing the season on a high note. It’s a shame that the second race was cancelled due to bad weather, taking away my chance to get a good result. It was an up-and-down season, marked by highs and lows. The positive thing is that I stayed injury-free. Together with the team, we always tried to fight for the best possible results. Sometimes it’s not easy, but I’ve improved compared to last season. Let’s try to continue on this path of growth.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Koch (Beta RX450) <\/strong>finished the timed sessions in 19th position, behind Watson. In qualifying, he managed to make-up for an unfortunate start with a comeback that allowed him to finish 19th. In Sunday’s race, which saw him get off to a better start, the German rider made a bigger impression, finishing 16th. Koch collected 108 points during the season, which allowed him to finish 21st in the Championship.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Koch<\/strong>: “In Australia, we found a track and an environment that was new to everyone. On Saturday morning, as soon as we entered, the track was very soft, especially in some places, but the layout was fun and spectacular. In the timed sessions, I struggled to find a good lap and finished 19th. The start in qualifying was terrible, and in the first few laps, I took few risks and lost more positions. In the end, I crossed the finish line in 19th position. On Sunday, in the only race held, the start and the first ten minutes went better. After that, I lost my feeling and rhythm, but I finished 16th. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me this season, and the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory for the opportunity they have given me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
