Diciannovesimo al termine delle prove cronometrate del Mondiale MXGP, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) non è riuscito a concludere la qualifica. Costretto a schierarsi per ultimo al cancelletto nelle manche titolate, il pilota belga nella prima manche è rimasto vittima di una caduta e ha concluso la sua rimonta in venticinquesima posizione. Nella seconda manche, malgrado un’altra partenza sfortunata, Jago ha recuperato fino alla ventesima posizione raccogliendo un punto che gli ha permesso di finire ventiduesimo assoluto.
Queste le parole di Geerts dopo la tappa in Trentino : “Weekend difficile. Dopo il ritiro in qualifica mi sono sempre schierato per ultimo al cancello. Nella prima manche sono caduto nei primi giri rimediando una botta al gomito. Nella seconda non sono partito bene ma sono riuscito a rimontare fino a raggiungere la top venti. Non sono soddisfatto ma cercherò di sfruttare la pausa per allenarmi e migliorare le mie prestazioni.”
Ancora alla ricerca dello stato di forma migliore dopo l’infortunio, Rick Elzinga (Beta RX450) ha segnato il trentesimo tempo in qualifica MXGP. Ventisettesimo in qualifica, il pilota olandese ha chiuso la prima manche al trentunesimo posto mentre si è ritirato nella seconda.
Buone prestazioni per Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2t) nel Campionato Europeo EMX250. Sesto nel suo gruppo di prove cronometrate, sabato il pilota francese è stato sfortunato nella prima manche: coinvolto nella caduta di gruppo al via non ha potuto riprendere la gara. Nella seconda Alexis ha centrato l’holeshot e ha guidato la corsa nei primi giri. In seguito, ha subito il rientro di alcuni avversari ma ha tagliato il traguardo con un ottimo quinto posto. Malgrado lo zero in gara uno ha finito tredicesimo nell’assoluta di giornata.
“Fine settimana segnato da risultati altalenanti. Nelle cronometrate ho girato forte ma in gara uno un avversario mi ha centrato in partenza. Ho preso una bella botta e non sono stato in grado di continuare.” Commenta così Fueri al termine del weekend di gara. “Non sapevo se sarei stato in grado di partire nella seconda ma ci ho provato comunque. Sono partito al comando e ho guidato la corsa per alcuni giri. Ho perso alcune posizioni ma ho finito comunque quinto. Un buon risultato”.
Sempre nell’Europeo EMX250 Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2t) nelle cronometrate ha segnato il sesto tempo del suo gruppo di qualifica. Nella prima manche, dopo essere scattato a ridosso della top 10, è riuscito a rimontare fino alla nona posizione. Positiva anche gara due con il pilota toscano capace di terminare la corsa al quattordicesimo posto. Decimo assoluto, Brando è ventunesimo nella classifica di campionato. “Tutto sommato questa gara è andata bene. In qualifica ho girato con buoni tempi. Nella prima manche il passo era buono e ho rimontato fino alla nona posizione. Nella seconda dopo una partenza fuori dai venti ho rimontato ancora fino alla quattordicesima posizione. Sono contento del decimo posto assoluto. Arrivo da un periodo difficile ma sto ritrovando la forma.” Queste le parole di Rispoli al termine della gara.
Archiviate le gare consecutive in Sardegna e Trentino, MRT Racing Team Beta Factory tornerà in pista a fine maggio nel Gran Premio Di Francia, sesto round stagionale del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2026, che sarà ospitato dal tracciato di Lacapelle Marival in Francia.

The MRT Racing Team Beta Factory made its second appearance in Italy, taking part in the Trentino Grand Prix—the fifth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship—following its race in Sardinia. The event was hosted by the historic Pietramurata circuit in the Upper Garda Trentino region.
Finishing 19th in the timed practice sessions, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) was unable to complete qualifying. Forced to start last at the gate in the main races, the Belgian rider crashed in the first race and finished his comeback in 25th position. In the second race, despite another unfortunate start, Jago fought his way back to 20th position, earning a point that allowed him to finish 22nd overall. Here is what Geerts had to say after the round in Trentino: “A difficult weekend. After retiring in qualifying, I always started from the back of the grid. In the first race, I crashed in the opening laps and took a knock to my elbow. In the second race, I didn’t get off to a good start but managed to fight my way back into the top twenty. I’m not satisfied, but I’ll try to use the break to train and improve my performance.”
Still searching for top form after his injury, Rick Elzinga (Beta RX450) posted the 30th-fastest time in qualifying. Starting 27th in the race, the Dutch rider finished the first race in 31st place but retired in the second.
Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2t) delivered strong performances in the EMX250 European Championship. Sixth in his qualifying group, the French rider was unlucky in the first race on Saturday: caught up in a group crash at the start, he was unable to resume the race. In the second race, Alexis took the holeshot and led the race in the early laps. Later, he was overtaken by some rivals but crossed the finish line with an excellent fifth-place finish. Despite scoring zero points in race one, he finished thirteenth overall for the day. “A weekend marked by mixed results. I rode fast in qualifying, but in race one, an opponent hit me at the start. I took a hard hit and wasn’t able to continue.” Fueri commented at the end of the race weekend. “I didn’t know if I’d be able to start in the second race, but I tried anyway. I started in the lead and led the race for a few laps. I lost a few positions but still finished fifth. A good result.”
Also in the EMX250 European Championship, Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2t) posted the sixth-fastest time in his qualifying group during timed practice. In the first race, after starting just outside the top 10, he managed to fight his way back up to ninth position. Race two was also positive, with the Tuscan rider finishing the race in fourteenth position. Finishing 10th overall, Brando is 21st in the championship standings. “All in all, this race went well. I posted good lap times in qualifying. In the first race, my pace was good, and I fought my way back up to ninth position. In the second race, after a start outside the top 20, I fought my way back up to 14th position. I’m happy with 10th position overall. I’m coming off a difficult period but I’m getting back into shape.” These were Rispoli’s words at the end of the race.
With the consecutive races in Sardinia and Trentino now behind them, the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will return to the track at the end of May for the French Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship, which will be hosted by the Lacapelle Marival circuit.
