La stagione 2026 degli Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross prende il via in Sardegna, dove il team Beta MRT Racing è presente dalla prima settimana di gennaio per i test di preparazione alla stagione. Domenica 1° febbraio il prestigioso “Crossodromo del Lazzaretto” di Alghero sarà teatro della prima prova degli Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross, appuntamento che inaugura ufficialmente la stagione.
Il team Beta MRT Racing si presenterà al cancelletto di partenza con i nuovi piloti: nella categoria MX1 sarà Jago Geerts a difendere i colori del team, segnando il suo debutto agonistico al manubrio della Beta. Nella MX2, invece, spazio ai giovani Alexis Fueri e Brando Rispoli, pronti a mettersi in luce sul tracciato sardo.
Sfortunatamente invece non si potrà schierare al cancelletto di partenza Rick Elzinga. Il pilota olandese ha riportato infatti una lesione alla rotula del ginocchio sinistro in seguito a un urto durante un allenamento, ma sta già facendo tutto il possibile per partecipare alla prima tappa del Mondiale MXGP in programma in Argentina.
Nonostante l’assenza di Elzinga, al quale vanno gli auguri di pronta guarigione per rivederlo presto in pista, il team Beta MRT Racing è pronto ad inaugurare la stagione con le migliori ambizioni sulla pista di Alghero.

Beta MRT Racing at ‘Internazionali d’Italia Motocross’
Alghero hosts the season opener with Geerts’ debut in the Beta MRT Racing Team.
The 2026 season of Internazionali d’Italia Motocross kicks off in Sardinia, where the Beta MRT Racing team has been present since the first week of January for pre-season testing. On Sunday, February 1, the prestigious “Crossodromo del Lazzaretto” in Alghero will host the first round Internazionali d’Italia Motocross, the event that officially opens the season.
The Beta MRT Racing Team will line up at the starting gate with new riders: in the MX1 category, Jago Geerts will defend the team’s colors, making his competitive debut on the Beta. In MX2, meanwhile, young riders Alexis Fueri and Brando Rispoli are ready to shine on the Sardinian track.
Unfortunately, Rick Elzinga will not be able to line up at the starting gate. The Dutch rider suffered an injury to his left kneecap following a collision during training, but he is already doing everything possible to participate in the first round of the MXGP World Championship scheduled in Argentina.
Despite Elzinga’s absence, to whom we wish a speedy recovery so we can see him back on the track soon, the Beta MRT Racing team is ready to kick off the season with high ambitions on the Alghero track.
