Il talento belga, protagonista della MXGP, si unisce alla squadra Beta MRT per una nuova sfida nel 2026.
Betamotor è lieta di annunciare l’ingresso di Jago Geerts nel Team Beta MRT Racing per la prossima stagione del Campionato Mondiale MXGP. Dopo una carriera ricca di successi nella categoria MX2 e due stagioni in MXGP, il pilota belga è pronto a scrivere un nuovo capitolo con i colori Beta.
Nato a Geel (Belgio) il 21 aprile 2000, Geerts ha conquistato titoli europei e mondiali junior, diventando uno dei talenti più promettenti del motocross internazionale. Vicecampione del mondo MX2 per quattro anni consecutivi (2020-2023), ha collezionato 24 vittorie di GP e 55 podi nella categoria. Nel 2025 ha chiuso la sua prima stagione completa in MXGP al 12° posto, con risultati di rilievo come il 6° posto al GP di Lettonia e la vittoria nella Qualifying Race di Lugo (Spagna).
Beta accoglie Jago Geerts con entusiasmo, convinta che la sua esperienza e determinazione possano portare il Team Beta MRT a competere per posizioni di prestigio nel Mondiale MXGP.

Jago Geerts: “Sono molto felice di aver firmato con Beta per le prossime due stagioni. È un grande cambiamento per me dopo otto anni in Yamaha. Sentivo di aver bisogno di una svolta per migliorare ancora e penso che con il nuovo Team questo sia possibile per me.Ho già effettuato alcuni test con la RX 450 e sono andati davvero bene. Mi sento a mio agio sulla moto e sono pronto per iniziare la preparazione invernale. L’atmo sfera nel team è fantastica e credo che insieme possiamo ottenere grandi risultati nei prossimi anni, quindi non vedo l’ora di iniziare questo percorso!”

The full line-up of Beta MXGP riders has been revealed – Jago Geerts joins the Beta MRT Racing Team
The Belgian talent, a star of MXGP, joins the Beta MRT Team for a new challenge in 2026.
Betamotor is delighted to announce that Jago Geerts will be joining the Beta MRT Racing Team for the upcoming MXGP World Championship season. After a successful career in the MX2 category and two seasons in MXGP, the Belgian rider is ready to start a new chapter with Beta.
Born in Geel (Belgium) on 21 April 2000, Geerts has won European and World Junior Championship Titles, becoming one of the most promising talents in international motocross. Runner-up in the MX2 World Championship for four consecutive years (2020-2023), he has racked up 24 GP victories and 55 podium positions. In 2025, he finished his first full season in MXGP 12th, with highlights such as the 6th position at the Latvian Grand Prix and the victory in the Qualifying Race in Lugo (Spain).
Beta welcomes Jago Geerts with great excitement, confident that his experience and determination will lead the Beta MRT Team to compete for prestigious positions in the MXGP World Championship.

Jago Geerts: “I am very happy to have signed with Beta for the next two seasons. It is a big change for me after eight years in Yamaha. I felt I needed a change to improve further, and I think that with the new team, this can be possible for me. I have already done some testing with the RX 450 and it has gone really well. I feel comfortable on the bike and I am ready to start winter preparation. The mood in the team is amazing and I believe that together we can achieve great results in the coming years, so I am looking forward to starting this run!”
