Lo storico tracciato “Serpentine” di Loket ha ospitato il quattordicesimo round del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2025, caratterizzato da condizioni meteo variabili: pioggia intensa al sabato e sole alla domenica.
Ben Watson (Beta RX450) ha mostrato un buon passo fin dalle cronometrate del sabato, concluse in 15ª posizione. Le difficili condizioni della qualifica, rese complicate dalla pioggia, lo hanno visto rimontare fino alla 19ª piazza dopo una partenza problematica.
La domenica, in gara 1, Watson ha chiuso 12°, segnando l’ottavo miglior tempo in pista. In gara 2, dopo una partenza sfortunata, è riuscito nuovamente a rimontare fino alla 12ª posizione. Ha terminato l’evento all’11° posto assoluto e ora è 13° nella classifica di campionato.
Queste le parole del pilota inglese: “Mi sono sentito bene fin dall’inizio. In gara 1 ho recuperato dopo una brutta partenza e in gara 2, nonostante l’errore al cancelletto, ho avuto un buon ritmo. Peccato per le partenze: con questa velocità potevo puntare alla top 5.”
Tom Koch (Beta RX450) ha iniziato bene con il 13° tempo nelle libere. Sotto la pioggia, ha chiuso le cronometrate 24° e la qualifica 21°. In gara 1, grazie a un’ottima partenza, è rimasto a lungo nella top 10, chiudendo 15°. Nella seconda manche ha tagliato il traguardo 17°, replicando lo stesso piazzamento nella classifica di giornata.
Koch: “Le libere sono andate bene, poi la pioggia ha complicato le cose. Domenica la pista era migliore: in gara 1 sono partito forte, – dice Koch – poi ho perso ritmo. In gara 2 ho recuperato quanto possibile. Dobbiamo solo migliorare il setting delle sospensioni.”
Adesso per MRT Racing Team Beta Factory l’attenzione si sposta sul prossimo appuntamento, il Gran Premio del Belgio a Lommel, 15ª prova del mondiale in programma per il 3 agosto 2025.

The historic “Serpentine” circuit in Loket hosted the 14th round of the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship, marked by mixed weather conditions: heavy rain on Saturday and sunshine on Sunday.
Ben Watson (Beta RX450) showed solid pace from the Saturday timed practice, where he finished 15th. Challenging track conditions due to the rain made the qualifying race tough, but the British rider managed to climb back to 19th after a difficult start.
On Sunday, Watson finished Race 1 in 12th position, recording the eighth-fastest lap time. In Race 2, after another unlucky start, he worked his way up once again to finish 12th. He ended the GP in 11th overall and now sits 13th in the championship standings.
Watson: “I felt good from the start. In Race 1, I recovered after a poor start, and in Race 2, despite hitting the gate, I had good speed. It’s a shame about the starts—my pace was good enough to aim for the top five.”
Tom Koch (Beta RX450) started the weekend with a promising 13th in free practice. In the rain-soaked timed session, he finished 24th and went on to place 21st in qualifying. A strong start in Race 1 saw him hold a top 10 position for much of the moto before dropping to 15th. In Race 2, he crossed the line in 17th, matching his overall result for the day.
Koch: “Free practice went well, but the rain made things tricky,” said Koch. “The track was better on Sunday. In Race 1, I had a good start but lost pace in the second half. Race 2 wasn’t ideal at the start, but I recovered what I could. We just need to fine-tune the suspension setup—technically, we’re in a good place.”
Next up for the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory is the Belgian Grand Prix in Lommel, the 15th round of the championship, scheduled for August 3, 2025.
